CULTURAL STEWARDSHIP

WEST COAST CRAFT was founded in San Francisco in 2013 to champion a new generation of craftspeople: artists and designers whose work lives at the intersection of craft, art, and culture. What began as a response to the lack of representation for this community has grown into the largest gathering of artist-designer craftspeople on the West Coast.

WEST COAST CRAFT presents thoughtfully curated events that spotlight independent brands, emerging voices, and established studios alike. Rooted in the creative spirit of the region, WCC offers both a stage for makers to thrive and a destination for audiences seeking meaningful, well-made work. With more than 150,000 attendees each year, it has become one of the leading craft and design events in the country.

WEST COAST CRAFT attendees are young, style and design conscious, and thoughtful about beautiful, well- made, ethically produced products. WCC's vendors are trendsetters, have strong social media followings, and are among the best of those working in their respective fields.

WCC is a diverse, inclusive, and inspiring showcase of the very best of the West Coast.

PROGRAM DETAILS

West Coast Craft is inviting you to participate in a new initiative we’re launching this year: the CULTURAL STEWARDSHIP program.

West Coast Craft is a San Francisco born and raised company. Founded here in 2013, we’ve grown alongside the city and remain deeply rooted in its creative community. Today, we’re the largest gathering of artist and designer craftspeople on the West Coast, regularly welcoming 30,000+ attendees over two show days and reaching more than 250,000 followers across social platforms.

Our audience is made up of young, urban professionals (ages 25 - 45) who are design-conscious, culturally engaged, and early adopters. They work in creative and adjacent fields, care deeply about craftsmanship and ethics, and value brands with real stories behind them.

Our vendors, 275+ artists, designers, and small business owners per show, are not only makers, but tastemakers and cultural influencers. Collectively, they reach over 4 million followers and help shape what’s next in design, retail, and creative culture.

In a city shaped by both innovation and creativity, how companies show up matters. The organizations that earn lasting goodwill are those that actively support the independent artists and small businesses who define San Francisco’s cultural identity.

Our community pays close attention to which companies invest meaningfully in the creative ecosystem, and which choose to remain on the sidelines.

As a Cultural Steward, your company would make a $10,000 contribution in direct support of West Coast Craft and the independent artists and small businesses who power our events. This is not a traditional sponsorship with a list of deliverables; it’s a values-aligned investment in the cultural fabric of San Francisco, helping us keep participation accessible, keep events free for attendees, support and expand programs like our Diversity Scholarship, and continue producing inclusive, meaningful, and high-quality public events.

Cultural Stewardship is about showing up with intention. It’s a visible commitment to creativity, small business, and the communities that make San Francisco distinctive and worth investing in.

With your contribution, your brand’s logo will be featured on the West Coast Craft Website and Vendor Map, and more importantly, you’ll be visibly backing the artists, designers, and small businesses that define San Francisco’s cultural identity.

For partnership opportunities, including booths or sponsored areas at the event, please email nick@westcoastcraft.com.
